The Classics Club

I’ve come across The Classics Club on a couple of book blogs and think it’s a marvellous idea – the aim is to read 50 classics in 5 years.  You get to choose what you consider a classic and my list will definitely be evolving as I get into it!

I’ve only read two books on my list before (A Handmaid’s Tale and Jane Eyre, a very long time ago), but the vast majority of the rest were already on my Goodreads to-read list.  So even though 5 years seems a very long way in the future to be planning for already, this is a marvellous way to get a move on with some (hopefully) marvellous literature.

My goal completion date is January 25th 2018 – if you feel like joining in, pop over to the Classics Club website for a look (you have to be a blogger to officially join, but there’s nothing to stop you making your own list even if you’re not!)  Wish me luck!
